Vickie Brooks Hodge

Obituary

Vickie Hodge passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2022. She was a loving mother, wife and sister. 

She was born in Geraldine and grew up in Sylacauga. She graduated from Sylacauga High School and then moved to Birmingham. There, she met her husband, John Hodge. They wed in Sylacauga and resided in Birmingham, where they had their son Jody. 

During much of her working years, she served as a secretary at several churches. She was an active member of First Baptist Hoover where she had many wonderful friends. 

She is survived by her son Jody Hodge, and her brother Ruie Brooks. She is preceded in death by her husband John Hodge, her father Cooper Brooks, and her mother Neita Brooks. 

Vickie Hodge was a wonderful mother and I’m proud to say she was always my friend.
