Tran Petras

Tran Thi Ba Petras was born in Hoc Mon, Vietnam on November 27, 1934.  Our beautiful Mother left this world to be with our Lord, Jesus Christ, on May 27, 2020. Married in true love to our father, Theodore Michael Petras (MSgt USAF), for 58 years - she was the Matriarch of our family, with 7 children, 14 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. We  love you MOMMA and cannot wait to see you in Heaven! May your legacy last forever and the memory of you be eternal.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Tran Van Thi (Father) & Le Thi Banh (Mother); Tran Van Hai  (Brother); Tran Van Nam (Brother); Kyme Tran (Daughter); and Misty Mitchell (Granddaughter).

She is survived by her loving husband, Theodore Michael Petras; son, Michael Theodore Petras; Daughters, Thuy Hackett, Thu Meyers, Athena Clark, Ellen Petras, and Elise Roper; grandchildren, Nick  Petras, William Petras, Nolan Clark, Preston Clark, Thena  Roper, TJ Hackett, Edward Whitten, Alicia Whitten, Chris Meyers, Thomas Meyers, Joshua Meyers, Elizabeth Meyers, and Sarah Meyers; great-grandchildren, Kayden Whitten, Annaliese Whitten, Selah Whitten, Andrew Benson, Kyme Cruz, Kayla Mitchell, Karina Cruz, Kyra Mitchell, and Kamari Carter; great-great-grandchildren, Nova Carter and Major Cruz; and nieces & nephews, Tran Ngoc Thanh and Tran Ngoc Hai.

May your legacy last forever and the memory of you be eternal. A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home in Hoover. Tran Thi Ba Petras is a member of the Holy Trinity Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church in Birmingham. Her Life Celebration will be held on Friday, June 5, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the church.
