Sarah Payton

Sarah Mae Payton, 93, of Hoover passed away Sunday, April 19, 2020. Sarah was a lifelong resident of Bluff Park. She was born to T.W. and Gracie Campbell in Bluff Park. She was a dedicated wife to Arthur and loving mother to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur L. Payton and son, Roger Bruce Payton.

Survivors include her sons, Ronald Lee Payton (Sylvia) and Richard Allen Payton (Carol); daughter, Cynthia D. Holt (Nolen); brother, B. J. Campbell (Jean); grandchildren, Jobie, Tara, Kelly, and Travis; and 10 great-grandchildren.

In lieu, the family wishes contributions be made to the ALS Association Alabama Chapter, 300 Cahaba Park Circle Suite 209, Birmingham, AL 35242.  Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, there will be a private graveside service held in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
