Robert McMillan “Sonny” Simpson, architect, a long-time Birmingham resident and native of Sylacauga, AL, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2019 in Birmingham. He is survived by wife Marilyn, son Robert Kelly, daughter Leigh, son-in-law Stott Noble, and granddaughter Suzanne Noble. He will be laid to rest in the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, AL. on Friday, December 6, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. A memorial will be held at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 3736 Montrose Rd, Mountain Brook, AL 35213. Visitation at 12:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall, followed by service in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m.
