Hoover

David Randall ”Randy” Culver, age 67, one of the most wonderful men on earth, went home to be with his Savior on April 27, 2020. He loved the Lord, his family and friends, and laughter. Randy was a graduate of Auburn University where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering and of Troy University Dothan where he obtained his Master’s of Business. He flew P3’s in the US Navy, then later retired from Air National Guard in Dothan, AL. He worked 39 years for Southern Nuclear Company where he recently retired. Randy was also a musician just for the joy of it - his primary instrument being the saxophone which he played for many years in the church orchestra. Randy was an active member of Green Valley Baptist Church where he had served faithfully in several capacities for many years. Randy had a crazy quick wit and kept those around him in stitches. He was loved by many!

Randy was preceded in death by his mother Berniece Sapp Culver, father Marvin Culver, father-in-law Daniel Head, and grandson Miles Taylor Culver.

He is survived by his wife and love of his life for 46 years, Susie Head Culver, son Chris Culver (Wendi), daughter Laura Culver King (Jonathan), and their “adopted” children Kelli Brunson (David), and Wade Morris (Deborah). He is also survived by his grandchildren: Gibson Culver; Ella, Audrey and Asa King; Abbi , Ben and Emily Brunson; Eden and Trinity Morris.

In lieu of flowers, Randy would be honored for donations be made to Green Valley Baptist Church 1815 Patton Chapel Rd Hoover, AL 35226 or Birmingham Community Church 2269 Chapel Road Hoover, AL 35226.
