Mary Joan Faure (Kriegshauser) passed on to her new life on July 19, 2020 surrounded in love by her husband of 65 years, John Faure, son John Faure (Susan), daughters Suzie Greer (Craig) and Lisa Faure; Grandchildren: Patrick Wall, Katie Elsea (Mike), Andrew Wall, Steven Greer, Daniel Wall and Abbey Greer. In addition to her immediate family she leaves behind her brother Bob (Marianne) Kriegshauser, many nieces and nephews in her hometown of St. Louis, Missouri and many friends here in Birmingham, Alabama.

She will be greeted on the other side by many family members and friends. Mary Jo (also known as the cookie lady) was famous for her toll house cookies that she shared in numerous settings. She volunteered in too many places to list. Mary Jo was a long time member of St. Peter’s and Prince of Peace Catholic Churches. She was recognized for her outstanding public service by the American Institute for Public Service Jefferson Award.

Due to Covid 19, a private funeral mass will be held for the immediate family.
