Louie Reese Iii

Louie Reese III went to his Heavenly home on January 23, 2022, surrounded by his family. He was married nearly 60 years to his loving wife, Lindsay and had three children, son, Louie Reese IV and daughters, Alice Klimpt and Lynn Anderson (Bill).

He was born in Birmingham, AL on August 11, 1937 to Louie Reese Jr. and Nell Williams Reese, both deceased. His brother, Wesley Reese, is also deceased. Louie graduated from Ramsay High School and Vanderbilt University with a civil engineering degree. He served in the Alabama Army National Guard and in 1960, joined Reese-King Realty. He later became President of The Reese Company, Inc.

Louie’s distinguished career as a real estate appraiser included President of the Alabama Association of Realtors; President of Birmingham Association of Realtors; and International President of the Society of Real Estate Appraisers. He also held many certifications such as MAI, CPM, and GRI, and was elected the 1985 Birmingham Realtor of the Year.

Louie was an avid golfer and enjoyed dancing and being a proud Grandaddy to his grandchildren, Tripp Anderson and Sarah Anderson. He is survived by his two loving sisters, Lynnell Reese and Julene Roberts.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday January 27, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Briarwood Presbyterian Church, PCA 2200 Briarwood Way Birmingham, AL 35243.

In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorials be made to Sav-A-Life, 1480 McGuire Rd. Vestavia Hills, AL 35216 or to The Mercy Ministry at Briarwood Presbyterian Church, PCA.
