Kenneth Jordan

Kenneth Wayne Jordan, of Helena, went to be with the Lord Friday, September 6, 2019, at the age of 70.  Ken served the Lord in 3 full-time pastorates: Meadville Baptist in Meadville, MS; Calvary Baptist in Columbia, MS, and Hoover First Baptist in Hoover, AL.  He served as interim pastor for a number of churches in the Maryland-Delaware Convention.  Additional service included the Marriage Enrichment Consultant for Baptist Sunday School Board/Lifeway Baptist Resources in Nashville, TN, Manager of Family Ministry Department, and Family Enrichment Deacon and Ministry Consultant for the Maryland-Delaware Baptist Convention. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Walter and Florence Opal Jordan, and his sisters, Carolyn Pepper and Beth Cartwright.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Kathy Watson Jordan; son, Jeffrey Wayne Jordan (Jamie); his daughter, Jennifer Leigh Jordan Deaver (Anthony); grandchildren, Tyler Deaver, Alex Deaver, Ryleigh Deaver, Campbell Jordan, Cooper Jordan, and Collier Jordan; his sisters and brothers-in-love, Virgil and Gail Watson, Shelby and Brinda Watson, Shirley Turner, Linda and Ronald Carter, and Virginia and Ron Hornbeck; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other loved family members.

The family will receive friends from 1-2, Saturday, September 14, 2019, at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150 in Hoover.  Memorial Celebration of his life will follow at 2:00 in the chapel, Rev. Michael Vaughn officiating.
