Evelyn Mansfield

Evelyn Mansfield, age 83, of Hoover, Al passed away on September 19, 2020.  She was born December 12, 1936 in Hartford, AL. She graduated high school in Gary, IN and went to work at Gary National Bank. Married in 1959. She lived in California, Huntsville and Dothan before settling in Birmingham where she was both a homemaker and active volunteer. She donated her time to the UMW, church office support, and many other programs of church life including making THE BEST cookies for Kairos. She loved birds, gardening, banking, crafts of all kinds and family above all.

Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents, Milan and Lois Lammons; siblings, Aubrey Lammons, Janette Medved, and David Lammons; and infant daughter.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Mansfield; son, Darrell Mansfield; daughters, LuAnn Mansfield, and Deanna Lenzie (Scott); grandchildren, Spencer Lenzie (Abbey), Garrett Lenzie, and Andrew Lenzie.

A Memorial Service will be held at Riverchase United Methodist on Friday, September 25, 2020 at 11:00AM with a one hour visitation prior.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Parkinson’s Foundation or Riverchase United Methodist Church.

Please be advised there will be limited seating due to COVID-19 limitations.
