Eva Almeda Millican

February 4, 1941 — September 18, 2022

Eva Almeda Ladner Millican was a caring and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother who passed away on September 18, 2022. She was 81 years old. Born the only daughter of Harold C. and Irma Ladner in Birmingham, Alabama on February 4, 1941, Eva was raised in North Birmingham, where she attended 35th Ave Baptist Church, along with her brothers Kenneth E. and Harold C. Ladner, both now deceased. Eva spent the majority of her adult years living mostly in Atlanta, Georgia and Trussville, Alabama. Moving to Lincoln, Alabama in 2012, Eva lived off Logan Martin Lake with her beloved husband of 35 years, Mike Millican, until his passing. Once retiring from Fair Haven Assisted Living where she worked for many years, Eve relocated to Pelham, Alabama.

Eva loved her morning cup of coffee, Hallmark Christmas movies and Bluebell ice cream. She was an accomplished pianist and loved singing, especially gospel songs from the Baptist hymnal. She was all about her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, who referred to her as 'Nanny'. Eva is survived by her daughters, Tammi (Joe) Scheiring, Terri (William) Slocumb, and sons Brian Weimer and Michael Millican. Her three grandchildren, Amber (Colin) Bunch, Melissa (Drew) Martin and Cody (Hayden) Dickison and great grandchildren AJ and Anderson Martin, Sloane and Banks Dickison and Penelope Jane Bunch. Survivors also include several nieces, nephews, cousins, and sister-in-laws.

The family of Eva Ladner Millican is planning a celebration of her life in the coming days.
