Elizabeth "Libby" Marlar

Mrs. Elizabeth "Libby" Marlar, 86, of Hoover, AL passed away on May 28, 2020. She enjoyed spending time with her family, entertaining, singing, and dancing, traveling with the antique car clubs, and collecting antiques. Libby also enjoyed her life-long friends, Marie and Mary Sue, and her new found friends at Briar Glen Alzheimer's Special Care Center. ​

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, James "Jim" D. Marlar; and parents, Grady Franklin and Minnie Mae Harper Franklin.​

She is survived by her daughters, Donna Stokes, Janet Ramsey (Colen), and Barbara Cupp (Steve); grandchildren, Adrian Traywick, Natalie Sulzby, P.J. Sulzby (Amanda), Trey Doyle (Heather), and Lindsey James (Nathan); and 16 great-grandchildren.​

A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2020 from 10:00am to 11:00am at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home in Hoover, AL. The graveside service will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
