Eleanor Harris

August 14, 1943 — October 14, 2021

Hoover

Eleanor “Ellie” Harris was a woman after God’s own heart.  No matter her circumstances, she always believed God was in control, and he had a plan for her life.  Anyone whose life she touched was made better.  After a long illness, on Thursday, October 14, she was reunited with her Savior.

Family was everything to Ellie.  She is preceded in death by two sisters, her brother, and her parents.   Ellie is survived by her husband, Ralph, his three daughters, Laura Stone (Kyle), Kristen Snable (Adam), and Paige Lammons (Josh), her sister Imogene Hinkle, her nephew, Jay Cobb (Sandé), her great-nephew Will Cobb (Evelyn), and her great-niece Mary Elizabeth Reinhart (Adam).  “Jellie” was loved by her grandchildren and great-nephews - Savannah, Jackson, Lola, Ethan, Mae, Quinn, Judah, Kit, and Tyner.

Ellie was a charter member of Valleydale Baptist Church.  She went on numerous Builders for Christ trips, loved the girls at Grace House, never tired of going to the Restoration Academy, and was an active participant at the Jimmie Hale Mission.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, October 25, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Valleydale Baptist Church in Birmingham, AL with Reverend Mac Brunson and Reverend Calvin Kelly officiating. Due to covid concerns, the service will be limited to family members. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Grace House Ministries or The Restoration Academy.
