Charlotte Halcomb

November 17, 1946 — October 29, 2022

Hoover, Alabama

Charlotte Mann Halcomb passed away Saturday October 29, 2022, at the age of 75. Charlotte was born to her late parents Carl Jackson and Lois Thigpen Mann. She was preceded in death by the love of her life of fifty (50) years, Judge Roger Dale Halcomb. She is survived by her two children, John Forrest Halcomb (Suzanne) and Sally Halcomb Mizell (James); her two treasured grandchildren, Jackson and Julianna; and her brother Carl Jackson Mann, Jr. (Susan).

Charlotte was born in Greensboro, Alabama, on November 17, 1946. She graduated from Ensley High School in 1964. Charlotte followed in the footsteps of her mother, a strong and loving Christian who passionately studied family and Biblical teachings at home to raise her children with a love for the Lord. Charlotte held true to her mother’s values and earned her bachelor’s degree in Religion at Samford University in 1968. She spent most of her life as a homemaker and mother, raising her family in the same manner.

Not only did Charlotte always work hard for her family and put her family first, but she also had a passion for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and wanted more than anything to pass that on to others. She taught Sunday School, lead small groups, and various bible studies. Charlotte was also known as a fierce competitor, formidable to anyone who met her on a tennis court. To know Charlotte was to know strong faith, caring, kindness, compassion and to always feel welcomed. Her laugh and smile brought so much joy and laughter to those who knew her. She will be greatly missed and forever remembered as a loving mom, caring Mimi, and loyal friend.
