Willis Larson

Willis G. "Willie" Larson, of Vestavia, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018, at the age of 90.  He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1950-1952.  Willie was retired as a welder from U.S. Steel after more than 30 years of service.  He was a loving father and grandfather and will be missed by all.
He is preceded in death by his wife of more than 50 years, Flova Larson; 2 brothers, Marvin Larson and Gaige Larson; and his sister, Helen Seiling.   He is survived by 3 daughters, Sandra Pilkinton (Van), Pat Cooper, and Annette Cofer; 7 grandchildren, Eric Pilkinton (Jessica), Amanda Lalor (Zack), Jim Dunlap, Kristi Smith (Rob), Donna Delong, Jay Lamon, and Michael Cofer (Cynthia); 11 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and his brother, Charles Larson.
The family will receive friends from 12-1, Monday, June 18, 2018, at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150 in Hoover.  Graveside service will follow at 1:00 in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
