William Erston Jones, Sr.
January 19, 1929 — February 11, 2019
William Erston Jones, Sr., passed away on Monday, February 11, 2019, at the age of 90. He was a retired mechanic from Royal Automotive in Vestavia after a number of years service. He is preceded in death by his parents, Sherman K. and Irene Jones.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Jones; 2 sons, William "Bill" Jones, Jr. and Jeffrie "Mike" Jones; 3 granddaughters, Natalie, Rachael and Bethany Jones; and a sister, Evelyn Horton.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 15, 2019, from 1 to 2 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 2 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jim Profetto officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
