William Young

, of Alabaster, passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2009 at the age of 85. He was a member of Bible Baptist Church and served his country in WWII in the Marine Corp. He is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Mary H. Young; two sons, Bill Young (Kelley) and Greg Young (Jill); three grandsons, Dex, Winston and Chris Young; and a sister, Thelma Handley. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 23, 2009 from 1-2 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Highway 150, Hoover. Funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Boyd Woodward officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
