William Wood, Jr.

Bill Wood, of Birmingham, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2020 at the age of 93. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII and was retired from the Birmingham Fire Department. Bill was a long time member of the former South Roebuck Baptist Church, He was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Frances Wood. He is survived by 2 sons, Terry L. Wood and Mike Wood (Cynthia); 3 grandsons, Michael Wood (Brandi), Shannon Wood and John David Wood; and a great granddaughter, Hannah Wood. A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 22, 2020, at 2:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South in Hoover with Pastor Rex Hare officiating.
