William Marcus Moore, age 59, of Bessemer, Alabama, entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, following a courageous battle with metastatic melanoma. He passed away peacefully at a hospital in Birmingham, Alabama, surrounded by the love of his family.
A Life of Faith and Ministry
Mark dedicated the majority of his life to ministry, serving faithfully as a pastor. His profound love for the Lord was the defining characteristic of his life. Driven by a deep desire for others to experience the heavenly Father's love, his faith shone brightly in every encounter. As a young man, he was a gifted basketball player who received offers to play professionally overseas. Choosing a path of eternal impact, he declined those offers to serve as a youth pastor, ultimately shaping and influencing countless young lives.
Professional Career
In his professional life, Mark was a valued employee at Signature Homes. He possessed a true passion for his work and cherished the deep camaraderie and relationships he shared with his colleagues.
Family and Legacy
Mark was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and son. His enduring love story began on a blind date at the young ages of 17 and 18 with his beloved wife, Tina Moore, whom he affectionately called his "hot babes." After dating for four years, they wed and shared 38 beautiful years of marriage. Together they raised two children, Brittany and Brandon.
Mark found his greatest joy in his family, especially in his role as "Poppa" to his three grandchildren, who loved him dearly. Known for his joyful spirit, he possessed a unique gift for bringing laughter and light to any room, no matter the circumstance.

A celebration of Mark's beautiful, Christ-centered life will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026, at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home in Hoover, Alabama.
