Vonice L. "Memaw" Arnette

Vonice L. "Memaw" Arnette, passed away on Monday, November 25, 2019, at the age of 90.  She was born in Douglas, Georgia, and had been a resident of Hoover for a number of years. Mrs. Arnette retired from AmSouth Bank, and after retirement she loved painting, hairdressing, crafts, gardening, and playing "Skip Bo" with her friends. She was a member of Community Baptist Church where she was active in the Senior Adult Choir. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Crockett Arnette.

She is survived by her 3 daughters, Cherie Rose (Joe), Pat Holmes (Larry), and Susan Foster (Bobby); her grandchildren, Connie Green (Jason), Tiffany Johnson, Craig Steen (Misti), Bob Foster (Jennifer), Toby Holmes (Amy) and Josh Holmes (Lacey); 12 great grandchildren; and a sister, Velma L. Gibby.

There will be a Graveside Service on Wednesday, November 27, 2019, at 12:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South, Hwy. 150, Hoover, with a family friend, Jay Jacks officiating.
