Thomas Tyson Goddard II, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2019, at the age of 76. He was a 1964 graduate of Auburn University. Tyson was retired after 34 years from U.S. Steel. He was a faithful member of Hunter Street Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Beverly Goddard; 3 daughters, Karen Ligon, Kim Hyde (Eric), and Kristy Brown (Chip); 9 grandchildren, Jeremy, Rachel, and Grace Ligon, David and Daniel Hyde, Carissa Walsh (Nolan), Mikayla, Rebekah, and Olivia Brown; a sister, Carolyn Merrell; and his brother, Bill Goddard (Betty).
The family will receive friends from 1-2, Friday, May 31, 2019, at Hunter Street Baptist Church. Service will follow at 2 PM in the church chapel. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
