Susan Elizabeth Jennings Gilliland

Susan Elizabeth Jennings Gilliland of Hoover Alabama, left for Heaven on December 13, 2020. She was the daughter of the late William and Virginia Jennings. She was born September 6, 1942 in Norfolk Virginia and grew up in Staten Island New York. She attended New York University, retired from EBSCO Industries, and loved her volunteer work at The Hoover Senior Center. She attended Church of the Highlands.

She is survived by her daughter LeighAnn (Ron) Travis and three grandchildren: Trey Travis, Nikki Travis, and Jamie Travis.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, 2701 John Hawkins Pkwy, Hoover, AL 35244. The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 PM prior to the service. Interment will be at Oakwood Memorial Gardens in Gardendale.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Hoover Senior Center, 400 Municipal Drive, Hoover, AL 35216.
