Steve Hicks

of Huntsville, formerly of Bessemer, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2005, at the age of 42. A graduate of McAdory High School and the University of Montevallo, he was Branch Manager with Redstone Federal Credit Union in Huntsville for 15 years. Mr. Hicks was a member of Capshaw Baptist Church in Capshaw, AL, and was an avid supporter of Missions. He is survived by his parents, Nelson and Ethelene Hicks of Bessemer; two sisters, Joanna Morgan (Bob) of Huntsville, and Esther Hicks of Sylacauga; 2 nephews, Daniel and Michael Morgan; a niece, Jessica Morgan; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 19, 2005, from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon, at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy. 150, Hoover. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 noon in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jay Jackson officiating. There will be a private family graveside service with interment following at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Alexander City, AL. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Faith Promise Program at McCalla Bible Church, McCalla, AL.
