Sarah "Anne" York

Sarah Anne York, age 82, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2025, after a brave battle with lung cancer.
Born on October 30th, 1942, in Atlanta Georgia, Anne was raised in Buckhead, Georgia.
She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Preston Byron York; Son David York, daughter-in-law Annie York and grandsons Spencer (Nicole), Harrison, and Grayson; Son Todd York, daughter-in-law Sandi York, and grandchildren Sarah York McCullum (Connor), Hannah, and Matthew; Brother Ben DeMayo (Judy) and Richard DeMayo (Claudia).
Anne And Preston made their home in Hoover, where they were members of Bluff Park Methodist Church finding fellowship and support in their faith community.
Donations can be made in honor of Anne's life to the American Cancer Society.
