Sara Jones

Sara M. Jones, 91 and a longtime resident of Hoover, went to live in her heavenly home, Friday, September 9, 2016. She retired from Oxmoor House, a division of Southern Living, and was a member of Green Valley Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, W.E. Parris and Sara K. Parris; and brothers, Hubert Parris and Hayden Parris. She is survived by her daughter, Ramona Jones; brothers, Moe Parris (Dolly) and Ovis B. Parris (Judy); and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1-2, Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150 in Hoover. Funeral will follow at 2 :00 in the chapel, Scott Everett officiating. Entombment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider a donation to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Alzheimer's Association at alz.org.
