Ruth Hurst

78, of Bessemer, AL passed away on August 21 after a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by mother Ruth, father Ivy, brothers Newton & Alva. She is survived by husband, Clyce, sons Robert & Jeffrey, grandchildren Elizabeth & Michael, sister Syble Patterson (Jimmy), family friends Terry, Atlanta & Charles, Cincinnati. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 29th at 2:00 pm at the former First Presbyterian Church facility at 1723 Third Avenue in Bessemer, with visitation following. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to: Shepherd of the Valley Presbyterian Church, 5081 Eastern Valley Road, McCalla, AL 35111 for the Building Fund.
