The family of Ross Edward Nutt, Jr. announces the passing of Ross Edward Nutt, Jr. on November 5, 2025, after a long battle with Alzheimer's. He was surrounded by his family at the time of his passing. He was a beloved husband to his wife, Betty J. Nutt for 62 years and father of two daughters. He was the son of Ross Edward Nutt and Sybil Irene Nutt. He is survived by his wife, Betty J. Nutt and his daughters, Tina M. Schilleci (Jody) and Toni R. Pickel (Earl) and grandchildren, Katelyn Pickel, Lauryn E. Sanders (Joshua), and Noah J. Schilleci.
He served in the United States Navy as a Corpsman during Vietnam. He was stationed in San Diego, Pensacola and aboard the U.S.S. Yellowstone in Mayport during his time in the Navy. His pharmaceutical career extended from St. Joseph Medical Center, University of Texas Medical Branch, St. Mary's Hospital and UAB where he retired in 2008. He had a deep interest in genealogy and pursuing further information and ties to his Native American heritage.
While we will we miss him dearly, we know he is in a better place, free of pain. Until we meet again, fair winds!
