Roby Lemuel Bedford Jr., lovingly known as Bubba, passed away on June 6, 2025, at the age of 58. He was born on December 28, 1966.
Roby grew up on Indian Crest Drive in Indian Springs, just outside Birmingham, Alabama. As a boy, he played sports, rode his motorcycle across the family property, and spent countless hours building backyard inventions with his childhood friend Larry. He attended Indian Springs School, where he developed a strong love for chemistry.
He graduated with high honors in aerospace engineering from Auburn University and received an award for completing the program in record time. He worked over 30 years at Southern Company, becoming Director of Computing Services and receiving multiple awards for innovation and excellence.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roby Lemuel Bedford Sr. and Harriet Jane Bedford (Dewyer); his uncle, Ronnie Bedford; and his brother-in-law, Scott Deflora.
He loved spending time with his family, camping, and traveling to Ireland with Connie.
