Robert "Freddie" Steading

Robert "Freddie" Steading, of Hoover, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2019, at the age of 70. He retired from UAB and DCI after 50 years of service.  Freddie was an avid fan of Auburn Football and loved to spend time with his family at Lake Martin. Freddie was also a lover of all Dachshunds and especially Beasley and Maddox. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert W. Steading.

Freddie is survived by his wife, Rebecca Chandler; daughter, Adrienne Kilgo (Matthew); Adrienne's mother, Jane Bellsnyder; granddaughter, Madeline Kilgo; his mother, Margaret Steading; and brother, Paul W. Steading (Connie).

The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 12, 2019, from 10-11 AM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home.  A Memorial Service will follow at 11 AM in the Chapel.
