Robert "Bob" Perothers

Mr. Robert "Bob" Perothers, of Hoover, AL, went home to be with the Lord on November 29, 2022 at the age of 86. He was born in Denora, Pennsylvania on January 21, 1936 and grew up in Hanceville, AL. Bob joined the Marines in the summer of 1954 and later entered the corporate world of department store management, where he met the love of his life, Charlotte. They married in the summer of 1960. Bob made his career in insurance, working at Allstate for over 15 years. Bob and Charlotte were devoted members of Hunter Street Baptist Church. Bob is proceeded in death by his parents, August F. Perothers and Mary A Perothers; his beloved wife, Charlotte A. Perothers; daughter, Carolie A. Perothers; and grandson, Justin D. Smith. He is survived by his daughter, Melonie (Jim) Holloway; his 6 grandchildren, Brittany (Jonathan) Bankston, Katie (Joel) Freebairn, Blake (Cailee) Holloway, Brent (Carly) Holloway, Chandler Holloway and Austin (Jackie) Holloway; and his 5 great grandchildren, Ryan, Madison Kate, Savannah, Tanner, Olivia Grace and Ezra. Bob's grandchildren and great grandchildren meant the world to him. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home Memorial Gardens in Hoover, AL, with a service at 11:00 am.
