Bob could be found beginning every morning in his home sitting at a table studying God’s word and praying for each family member by name. He spent his days loving and serving the people at Dawson, the community, and his family. Some of his favorite times were leading music and mission groups to locations all over the world and playing games with his children and grandchildren in his dining room. All of these adventures were sure to include ice cream and lots of jokes and laughter. Known for his joy, gentleness, faithfulness, and wisdom, Bob was affectionately known as “Hat,” “Rev,” “Dr. Bob,” “the other Bob,” Popps, and Dad. His smile was infectious and constant, and his kindness impacted the lives of thousands. Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Ben & Ginger Hatfield.
