Richard Wood

Mr. Richard G. Wood, 90, of Hoover passed away on August 16, 2019. He was born in Shiloh, NJ on December 22, 1928. After service in the U.S. Air Force, he graduated with honors from the University of Florida. He had a career as Sales Representative in the Food Processing industry. He is preceded in death by his son, David; parents, Clarence and Thelma; and brother, Robert. He is survived by his wife, Kay; sister, Jean; sons, Melvin, Ted, Donald, and Randy; and their families including grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home in Hoover, AL. The funeral service will begin in the chapel at 11:00 am. Entombment will immediately follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens South.
