Richard Davis

of Rapid City, SD, passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2005, at the age of 64. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and was retired from Schlumberger Manufacturing Company in Tallassee, AL. Mr. Davis was a Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader for a number of years, and was a member of Escapees and various other RV clubs. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Davis of Rapid City, SD; a son, Maurice W. Davis (Agnieszka) of Portage, MI; two daughters, Tonya McGarity (Darren) of Helena, and Tammy McMinn (Michael) of Oneonta; six grandchildren, Kaitlyn McGarity, Zachary, Jacob, Nicholas, Luke and Isaac McMinn; three brothers, Robert Davis (Truby) of Winston Salem, NC, James Davis (Esther) of Richmond, VA, and Staley Kent Davis (Myrtle) of Memphis, TN; and one sister, Edith Higgins of Sparta, NC. There will be a Memorial Service on Monday, January 31, 2005, at 2 pm, in the chapel of Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy. 150, Hoover, with Rev. Lyle Holland officiating.
