Clarence Lee Stamp, affectionately known to all as “Bro Bill” saw Jesus face to face on Thursday, November 12, 2020. Born in Mexico, MO, he attended high school in Independence, MO before joining the Air Force. After serving, he graduated from Bob Jones University, and obtained a master’s degree in Counseling from the University of Wisconsin. His years of Pastoring led him to North Carolina, Kansas City, MO, Pensacola, FL, and lastly Birmingham, AL. He loved to pour wisdom and love into people’s lives and did so until weeks before he went home to be with the Lord.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Gerald Stamp and Melba Bond Stamp; and brother, Harold Bond.
He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Long Stamp; son, Stephen Stamp (Leslie); daughter, Teresa Arnould and Leanne Pinkerton (Ron), grandchildren, Travis Arnould (Jessica), Tyler Arnould (Ashley), Traci Arnould Hammond (Forrest), Lara Pinkerton Johnsey (Jacob), Chase Pinkerton, Andrew Pinkerton, and Victoria Pinkerton; great-grandchildren, Violet Arnould, Sawyer Johnsey, and Ellis Johnsey.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2020 from 10:00am to 11:00am at Liberty Church with the Celebration of Life Service beginning at 11:00am with Reverend Bruce Terry officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Daniel Cason Ministries or Grace Klein Ministry.
