Ray Mccay

of Calera, passed away Saturday, September 3, 2005, at the age of 57. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War where he served his country proudly with the 82nd Airborne Infantry in 1968-1969. Ray was a dedicated employee for Alabama Power Company for 30 years. Survivors include his loving wife of 30 years, Gennett McCay, and the love of his life, his daughter, Kim McCay; his mother, Rosemary McCay; a sister, Brenda McClain and brother-in-law, Steve McClain; and a nephew, Phillip McClain. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 6, 2005, from 6 to 8 pm at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy. 150, Hoover. Funeral service will be on Wednesday, September 7, 2005, at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Jason Adkins officiating. Interment will follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
