R. King

of Hoover, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2008, at the age of 42. He was a graduate of Stone Mountain High School in Stone Mountain, GA and attended Middle Georgia College in Cochran, GA. Brian graduated from David Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN. He was a former youth minister for Alpine Hills Church of Christ in Mobile, AL and Sherrod Avenue Church of Christ in Florence, AL. He was a member of Homewood Church of Christ in Birmingham, AL. Brian was the owner/area developer of several Precision Tune Auto Care, Inc. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert M. King. He is survived by his wife, Traci Lynn Shockney King; three daughters, Alexis Marie, Kristian Ellen, and Hatty Ryan King; mother, Patricia Howell King; three sisters, Carol King Hartman (Keith), Michelle King Clardy (Glen), and Debra King Waters (Teck); and grandmother, Ikey H. Howell. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 7, 2008, from 6-8 PM at Homewood Church of Christ. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2008, at 10:30 AM at the church. Interment will be at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. A trust fund has been setup in his daughters' names at First American Bank in Hoover.
