Phyllis Bivins

Phyllis J. Bivins, age 84 of Pelham, AL passed away Monday, January 25, 2021, after a sudden illness. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie L. Bivins, parents, Everett and Maude Broyles, and brothers Calvin and George Broyles. She is survived by daughter Dee Dee Given of Birmingham, AL, son Doug Bivins (Lin) of Chattanooga, TN, daughter Donna Brandenburg ( Charles) of Pelham, AL, three grandsons, Drew, Doug and Chase Brandenburg, sister, Louise Earehart, Beckley, WV, and host of  nieces and nephews, and childhood friends.
She was born in Alderson, WV, grew up in Beckley WV, where she  graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1954. With her husband Jimmie's career, the family moved frequently throughout the country living in Richmond VA, Alexandria, VA, Atlanta, GA, Danville, California, Vienna, VA, finally settling in Birmingham, AL.
She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She worked in banking, real estate, and was a Director of  Mary Kay cosmetics. She enjoyed college football, Downton Abby, planning family meals and sharing recipes. She cherished  time spent with her family.
She was a member of Hoover First United Methodist Church, enjoying her church family.
A private service was held with the immediate family.
