, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2008 at the age of 64 after a brief illness, bringing to a close a life full of achievement, marked by great happiness and love. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 39 years, Jennifer Haikes; his children, Brendon Haikes, Cheryllyn Smith (Jason) and Belinda Haikes; his five grandchildren, Austin, Jordan, Troy, Savannah, and Kiley and his brother Conrad Haikes. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at 1:00 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. The family requests donations to The Center for Colon Cancer Research, 1212 Green St, University of South Carolina, Columbia SC, 29208.
