Paula Cordes

Mrs. Paula Brooks Cordes, 61, of Hoover passed away on August 21, 2019. Paula enjoyed a long career in Elementary Education, teaching at Whispering Pines Montessori School for 15 years and Clay Elementary School for 21 years. She was an artist, avid gardener, and traveler. Paula loved animals, especially her pet dogs. Most importantly, she loved her children and grandchildren. Paula is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, David Lee Cordes; son, Jaron Cordes; daughter, Amber Cordes Palmier (Gregg); grandchildren, Matthew (Cynthia), Jessica (Ben), Kayla, and Dylan; great-grandchild, Marilyn; parents, James and Barbara Brooks; brother, Steven Brooks; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousin, other relatives, and friends. A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2019 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home in Hoover, AL. The funeral service will begin from the funeral home chapel at 11:00 am.
