Paul Smith

age 86 of Pelham was born August 13, 1918 and passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2005. He was a veteran of WW II and the Korean War. Mr. Smith was a retired fireman from the City of Fairfield, with 30 years of service. He was a member of Palisades Church of Christ and the Eastern Star, Cunningham Chapter. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Viola Belle Smith, and his son, Paul Stanley Smith. He was one of kind and will be missed more than words can express. Mr. Smith is survived by two granddaughters, Stacy Smith-Inman (Anthony) and Shannon "Sissy" Whisenant (Ashley). 2 great grandchildren, Chase and Emily Laney. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 24, 2005 from 6 - 8 p.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150, Hoover, AL. Funeral service will be on Friday, February 25, 2005 at 2:00 pm. in the funeral home chapel, with Tom McClure officiating. Interment will be at Valhalla Cemetery.
