Myrtice Mcbrayer

Elizabeth “Liz” McBrayer, 87, of Hoover, AL passed away on March 15, 2022 after a long battle with MS and a brief battle with lung cancer. She was surrounded by loved ones at the time she passed. In 1953 she married James “Jimmy” McBrayer and they had three children, Stanley, Susie and Cindy. Liz was the most loving and supportive mother anyone could ever have. She was the foundation of our family, always hosting Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. Always serving and giving. She was the primary caregiver to her husband, Mom and son when they became ill, and she did so with a kind and loving heart. She loved working in her yard until the progression of MS prevented her from doing so.

Liz was predeceased by her parents, Fred and Dossie Warren, her husband, Jimmy, her son, Stanley and her brother, James. She is survived by her daughters, Susie (Philip) and Cindy Hulsey and daughter-in-law, Elizabeth; grandchildren, Amy Zeman (Mike), Julie McBrayer, Rusty Enfinger (Tiffany), Philip Bowling, Jr., Peter Bowling and Lyza Redden (Jeremy). Great grandchildren, Grace, Ella, Kaylie, Samuel, Cooper, Beau, Brady, Finn, Maggie and Trace. Liz is also survived by her sister, Agnes, and a brother, Max.

She was loved so much by all who knew her and she will be tremendously missed.

The family will receive friends Friday, March 18, 2022 beginning at 1:00 pm followed with a 2:00 Chapel service at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, burial in Currie-Jefferson Memorial Gardens, Hoover, Alabama.
