Michael Edward “Mike” Watters, 31, of Birmingham, AL passed away on August 10th, 2022. He is survived by his parents, William and Angela Watters of Birmingham, AL; his sister Erin Watters of Birmingham, AL; his sister Katelyn Novak and husband Ryan Novak of Lexington, SC, and their daughters Graelyn and Allison Rae; his grandmother Pauline Lethco of Greenwood, SC; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his dearly beloved girlfriend Heather Heidman of Del Rio, TX. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Frank and Lucille Watters and Andy Lethco.

A visitation will be held at 10:00 am, followed by a celebration of Mike’s life at 11:00 am on Monday, August 15, 2022 at Christ Church United Methodist Church, 5091 Caldwell Mill Road, Birmingham, Alabama 35242, with Jody Hooven officiating.

Mike was born September 10, 1990 in Doylestown, PA. He had a tremendous passion for cooking, skateboarding, and the guitar, and excelled at all of them. His soul was never more at peace than when he was in the mountains communing with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He loved his dogs Margot and Callie, and they reflect his playful yet kind, gentle, and loving spirit.

Mike was a heart transplant recipient, and the family would like to express their sincere love and appreciation to the UAB HTICU for the tremendous care and love they showed Mike, especially Dr. Jose Tallaj, MD, and Ms. Allison Hayes, CNRP.
