Michael Thompson

Michael "Mike" B. Thompson passed on April 18, 2024 at the age of 69. Upon arriving in Heaven, he is joining his parents and daughter, Celyce, who preceded him in death. Mike is survived by his wife of 36 years, Elyce Thompson; his two sons, Benjamin and Willie Thompson; and five grandchildren, Jack, Grayson, Analyce, Ila, and Ivy. In life, Mike Thompson was a man of faith, family, and hardwork. He was a faithful member of Shades Mountain Community Church. Mike was a firm believer in the power of prayer leading him to be an active member of the prayer group. He encouraged Bible study at all of his places of work and recently initiated a Bible study group at the current business he owned. Outside of church, Mike enjoyed watching and playing golf, designing a motorcycle with his grandson, hunting and fishing with sons and friends, flying his plane, and spending long weekends with his family at their Lake Martin cabin. While husband, father, and friend will be missed here on Earth, he is reaping the benefits of his devout faith by basking in God's holy paradise.
