Maureen Burnett

Maureen Burnett, beloved wife and mother, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020. She was born on December 1, 1930, to Guy and Carlie Crocker. Raised in Bibb County, she lived most of her life in Hoover AL and was a member of Shades Crest Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Arlee Crocker and sisters Margie Hendrix, Nora Williams and Judy Elliott. She is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, Sam Flemon Burnett, Jr. and daughter, Peggy Burnett. She is also survived by sisters Elsie Green and Pat Pate; brothers Bill, Jim, Joe, and Bobby Crocker; and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved.

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 11, 2020 from 12:00pm to 1:00pm at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home in Hoover, AL. The graveside will follow at 1:00pm at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South with Pastor Mark Johnson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Alabama Chapter.
