Maudie Bell
December 10, 1926 — August 22, 2018
Maudie Bell, of Bessemer, passed away on Wednesday, August 22, 2018, at age 91. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Effie Hill; husband, Charles Nathan Bell, Jr.; and a son, Charles Douglas Bell.
Maudie is survived by her daughters, Barbara Gaston and Janice Layton (Steve); a son, Robert Bell (Janette); 5 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Friday, August 24, 2018, from 1:00-3:00 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home in Hoover, AL. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South, with Rev. Jimmy Bradford officiating. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to your favorite charity.
