Mary Riggins

Mary Williams Riggins, age 89, died on November 11th, 2025, at Heritage Health Care & Rehab. She was born January 8th, 1936, in Belle Ellen, Alabama to Luke and Mabelle Williams. Mary retired from Bellsouth after 30 years of service

She is survived by her children; Brenda Shirley of Lakeview, AL; James "Jimbo" Williams (Sherron) of Northport, AL, and Rick Shirley, son-in-law. Grandchildren; Mary Ann Burrows of Lakeview, AL, Tyler Burrows (Mekenzi) of Orange Beach, AL, Amanda Burrows of Lakeview, AL, Brittany Williams of Tuscaloosa, AL, Angel Oswalt (Josh) of Tuscaloosa, AL, Jimbo Williams (Claudia Ann) of Tuscaloosa, AL, Clay White (Robin) of Northport, AL, and Brandi McDonald (Greg) of Tuscaloosa, AL. Great Grandchildren; Kaysen Burrows, Riggs Burrows, Elizabeth Burrows, Kennedy Oswalt, Tillman Oswalt, Wallace Williams, Annsley David Williams, Daniel Patton Williams, Luke White, Dean White, Logan Crim, Blane McDonald, and Vivi McDonald.

She was preceded in death by her husband James "Jimmy" Riggins, parents Luke and Mabelle Williams, Brother Lukie Williams, and Sister-in-law Lonnie Williams.

Services will be held at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home in Hoover, AL on Friday, November 14th, 2025. Visitation will begin from 10am until 11am, with the funeral to start at 11am. Pallbearers are: Tyler Burrows, Jimbo Williams, Josh Oswalt, Kaysen Burrows, Rick Shirley, and Rodney Parker.
