Mary Josephine Shell, age 95, passed away on July 20, 2026 in Birmingham, Alabama due to a stroke. She is survived by her only child, Mona McReynolds and her two grandsons.

Mary Jo was a creative person who loved people and had a servants heart.

She graduated from Cumberland Presbyterian Seminary and served as a pastor and bible teacher to share her faith with others

Mary Jo was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in both Oklahoma and Alabama serving over 50 years. She was also a longtime member of the Order of Amaranth. She worked tireless in these organizations to help others.

She loved to travel and see the sights and meet people. She loved animals and always surrounded herself with them.

Now she can be with her beloved husband, Charles Shell and all her loved ones and forever be with the Lord Jesus Christ.
