Marie Appel

of Hoover passed away on October 4, 2007. Mrs. Appel was born in Port Vue, PA on October 10, 1923. She was 83, a graduated from McKeesport Hospital School of Nursing in 1943 and proudly served our country in the US Navy Nurse Corp from 1943-1945. Mrs. Appel was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Donald Appel, and her parents, Louis Frank and Antoinette Moravec Shuha. She is survived by 2 daughters, Susan Appel, of Hoover, AL, and Donna Louise Scanlon Appel of Mount Holly, NC; and 3 grandchildren, Erik and Kristin Hardin, and Amanda Scanlon. Committal will take place in Sharon Memorial Gardens in Charlotte, NC.
