Margaret (Margie) Rae Davis

January 2, 1941 – July 10, 2024

Margie, age 83, entered peacefully into her heavenly home after a short illness of cancer. She will be greatly missed but knowing she is no longer in pain and resting with Jesus gives her family and friends great comfort.

She was born Margaret Rae Stockton in Philadelphia, PA. Philadelphia is where she met her husband while he was in the Marine Corps. After the military they settled in Alabama and raised their family.

She worked several administrative jobs over the years, however her main vocation was wife and mother. She would jokingly claim her main title was Princess. She loved life and people.

Margie had a green thumb and was very fond of her plants. She loved the Crimson Tide, her family, and many friends at Galleria Woods Senior Living Community. While at Galleria Woods she was always ready to have fun and go on adventures. She made it her goal to befriend everyone and wanted people around her to thrive and be happy.

While living at Galleria Woods she attended Shades Crest Baptist Church in Hoover In lieu of flowers a donation to Shades Crest Baptist is suggested.

Margie is preceded in death by her husband James Davis. She is survived by her two sons Greg (Jennifer) Davis, Robert (Connie) Davis, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Interment will be Friday, July 26, 2024 at 9:30 am at Alabama National Cemetery { 3133 Highway 119, Montevallo, AL 35115; 205-665-9039 }
