Margaret Ellison peacefully passed into our heavenly fathers arms at the age of 90 on April 25 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Robin Ellison; daughter, Ramona E. Isbell; sister, Jackie Cole. She is survived by her daughters Linda (George) Richmond, Dana Selleck; brother, Wayne (Sonya) Anthony; grandchildren, Scott (Michelle) Richmond, Steven Richmond, Robby Richmond, Maria (Travis) Abernathy, Sarah (Tom) Coiner, Joey (Emily) Selleck, and many great grandchildren.

Margaret was born in Fairfield, Al. Early in life Margaret loved to ice skate and played snare in her Fairfield high school band. Once married to Robin they traveled Europe during his military service before settling back in Birmingham and raising three beautiful daughters. They were very active in the Vestavia community and made lifelong friends. They could always be found playing bridge and golf at Chase Lake Country Club. Family was always a huge part of Margaret’s life. She loved to bake and has passed on many recipes to her family. She was especially known for her delicious chocolate chip cookies, and Christmas divinity.

She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend to many who will be greatly missed. She was so thoughtful and always the first to say “thank you” for anything you did for her.
