Margaret Davis

January 26, 1937 — August 11, 2022

Margaret P. Davis, of Birmingham, passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at the age of 85. She divorced after 7 years of marriage. She mainly lived alone and took care of herself and had several life long friends. Margaret worked at a plastic plant, tool and die company, and later worked for an engraving company. Margaret was very independent and head strong. If she didn't like you, you would know straight away. She is preceded in death by her ex-husband, Leroy Davis; a grandaughter, Amber Smith' her parents, Charles and Evelyn Phillips Porter; a brother, Frank Porter; and sisters Virginia Chrisstain and Sandra Porter.

She is survived by a daughter, Teresa Holly; grandchildren, Daniel Davis and Cameron Holly; sisters, Alice Davis and Lee Porter; and a brother, Thomas Gale Porter.

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 15, 2022 from 10 am to 11 am at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home in Hoover. Funeral service will follow at 11 am in the funeral home chapel with Father Wyman Vintson officiating. Entombment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
